Fissler review: is Fissler non-toxic?

It depends on the line. The stainless pans are bare steel. Three of the non-stick lines are PTFE.

Questions people ask

Is Fissler non-toxic?

It depends on the line. Original-Profi Collection and Pure Collection are bare 18/10 stainless with no coating, and score 85/100 on materials. Adamant, Stardust Forte and Cenit are PTFE non-stick. Ceratal is a ceramic coating. We score materials, not safety, and we do not lab-test.

Does Fissler use PTFE (Teflon)?

Yes, on some lines. Fissler’s Australian product pages list the coating on Adamant and Cenit as “Non-stick coating (PTFE)”, and on Stardust Forte as “Fluorine resin coating (PTFE)”. Fissler says Ceratal is made without PFAS/PTFE. The stainless lines have no coating.

Is Fissler Original-Profi worth it?

On materials, it is one of the cleanest pans we have scored: bare 18/10 stainless, stainless handles, no coating, 85/100. Fissler says it is made in Germany with a 15-year warranty. We do not test cooking performance.

What is a Fissler pressure cooker made of?

The Vitavit and Vitaquick Premium pots are 18/10 stainless. The lid seals with a gasket that Fissler sells as a silicone spare part, and the lid handle is plastic of an unnamed type. We score them 73/100.
